We’re so excited to announce that the Good Drop has helped to raise more than $4,000 for the Luzerne County Child Advocacy Center (CAC)!
The Luzerne County CAC is a Wilkes-Barre-based nonprofit that “provides services to abused children and their families throughout Luzerne County,” according to its website. The organization performs forensic interviews, family and victim advocacy, and medical examinations for “victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, drug endangerment, human trafficking, and other crimes.”
A coalition of partners that included the Good Drop, State Rep. Jim Haddock, Attorney Michael A. Lombardo III, 570 Overhaul Contracting, D.J. Donnie Evans, Jerry Vinciotti and Rhonda Caracappa, Anita and Pat Lizza, and Madd Tees raised the funds for the Luzerne County CAC by selling challenge coins from the Luzerne County Office of the District Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, run by the Luzerne County Detectives Association.

The Good Drop is proud to contribute to our community not just through ketamine therapy but by partnering directly with organizations that make a difference.
“What really struck home for me was the nonprofit nature of the Luzerne County Child Advocacy Center, how many children are affected, and how many children they help with so little resources,” said Kelly Anne Wilson, RN, LNC, PHRN, and chief executive officer and co-owner of the Good Drop. “It’s important to raise awareness of issues like this in our community.”

Co-owner, chief marketing officer, and RN Mara Capozzi agreed: “We are honored to have supported the Luzerne County Child Advocacy Center through our recent fundraiser. At The Good Drop, we believe in giving back to our community, especially to organizations that work tirelessly to protect and uplift children in need. Together, we can help create a brighter and safer future for the most vulnerable members of our community. Mental health challenges among young people or people of any age are not a weakness but a call for understanding, support, and action. It’s our responsibility as a society to ensure they feel heard, valued, and empowered to seek help. The Good Drop hopes to be that beacon of hope.”
