The Good Drop offers a world-class patient experience at our Avoca clinic. This is what our ketamine therapy process typically looks like:

1. We set up a phone consultation with our staff physician, Dr. Russell E. James II, and one of our nurses. This is where we get to understand your health situation to see if ketamine therapy can help you.
2. We all agree on a treatment plan together and then schedule your first appointment at our clinic, located at 824 McAlpine St. in Avoca.
3. You can select from one of our six infusion rooms based on its color, artwork, and lighting. The more comfortable you feel, the better your infusion will be.
4. We create a relaxed atmosphere for your infusion, with dimmed lighting and meditative music that can help you focus on what you want to achieve during your session.
5. During your approximately 45-minute ketamine infusion, you may experience dissociation, racing thoughts, and intense feelings of peace. Post-infusion side effects can include mild dizziness and nausea, but these are normal and usually go away quickly.
6. Spravato sessions tend to last a little longer, sometimes up to two hours, depending on the patient. The Spravato experience differs from IV ketamine in that you can expect fewer racing thoughts and less dissociation and will probably feel like you’re peacefully floating on a cloud.
