1. Once you contact us, we schedule a confidential phone conversation with our staff physician, Dr. Russell E. James II, and one of our care team nurses. This allows us to consult with you, answer any questions, and determine if ketamine can help you.
2. We decide on a treatment approach and schedule you for your first appointment at our clinic at 824 McAlpine St. in Avoca.
3. Make yourself at home in one of our six infusion rooms. Each is designed with unique colors and artwork to complement how you’re feeling that day.
4. Once you’re set up and comfortable, we’ll dim the lights, play meditative tones, and let you drift into your focused intentions during your treatment.
5. Ketamine infusions typically last 45 minutes to an hour. During that time, you may experience dissociation alongside deep feelings of introspection and peace. Some mild nausea and dizziness are common afterward but usually go away quickly.
6. Spravato sessions can last up to two hours. The nasal spray Spravato produces less intense dissociation than IV ketamine. Instead, you’ll feel whole-body feelings of peace and weightlessness. You may be a little unsteady on your feet afterward, but this is normal and soon dissipates.
7. Our nurses are readily available throughout your session to make sure you have everything you need.
